Mrs. Alice V. McGough, 86, of Lake City died Tuesday night at St. Bernard's Hospital. A native of Craighead county, she had lived in the Lake City area many years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church at Lake City. Survivors include three sons, Frank McGough of Redwood, Cal., Claude McGough of Paragould and Dr. Bobby McGough of Jonesboro; two daughters, Mrs. Rosa Carpenter of Lake Cityand Mrs. Lula Johnston of Redwood city, Cal.; 12 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Thursday afternoon at 2:30 at the First Baptist Church at Lake City with Rev. John Bassinger officiating. Burial will be in Philadelphia Cemetery with Farmer's Union Funeral Home in charge. Active pallbearers will be Colin Wicker, Chester Vincent, Edward McFarlin, Cecil Futrell, Gerry McGough and Joe Gibson. Honorary pallbearers will be Garland Arrington, Armstead Coleman, David Coleman, Joe Carpenter, and Roscoe Johnston. Mrs. McGough's family has asked that persons wishing to leave a lasting memorial consider the Craighead county Heart Fund or the First Baptist Church of Lake City.
